I am Assistant Professor (Teaching) of Spatial Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC). I hold a B.A. in Geography from Nara University, Japan (1994); M.A. in Geography from the University of Toledo, Ohio (1998); PhD in Geography from Texas A&M University, College Station in Texas (2011). I began teaching online graduate courses at the Spatial Sciences Institute in 2011. I have taught introductory- and advanced GIS courses and conducted research on geospatial professional development for K-12 educators.
